Located in Newcaslteton, in the beautiful Scottish borders, Whithaugh Park is an excellent site for outdoor learning. Set in 110 acres and nestling amongst the hills, it offers a wide range of facilities and attractions for all.

It has its own swimming pool and games field. The accommodation is provided in a number of individual chalets in a village setting with a large recreational hall.

The residential  consists of 5 days packed full of a wide range of activities. Each evening everyone attends meetings that feature compelling talks from our resident youth workers/speakers and on the final day we have our famous talent show.

Activities are both onsite and offsite and may include:

KAYAKING &CANOEING, ROCK CLIMBING, FENCING,

ARCHERY, ROPES COURSE, ZIP WIRE, ABSEILING,

MOUNTAIN-BIKING, SWIMMING

WHAT’S THE COST?

The total cost of £170 (including £50 deposit)  includes all transport, accommodation and food. If you would like to come but have financial difficulties, please don’t be afraid to speak to any of the Youth Workers or ring Inga at the Church Office. The cost can also be spread over the coming months.

WHO CAN GO?

Anyone,  year 7 to year 13,  who is involved with the Village Youth Project — through the Bank drop-in, a club or St Mary’s Church. The residential at this time of year is usually very popular so get your place secured early! There are only a few places remaining, so if you want to come, get your form in asap!
